First of all, you should. consider what you want to specialize in - software development, web designing or some serious coding In terms of web development, HTML, combined with CSS, is one of the easiest and powerful languages to learn. Using HTML and CSS, excellent web pages can be created and its syntax is also easy to learn. PHP is also for web development, but it requires some HTML and CSS understanding. For software development and coding, C++, in my opinion, is easily learnt as it has many features and can be used in various fields. Syntax is pretty simple amd you can easily learn basic C++ in 1 week if you are dedicated. So in the end, both C++ and HTML are. good in their respective fields, and you must start with them if you are a beginner. Thanks :)

I would like to propose VBA in Excel as a first thing to check out. if you got Excel installed and you know a bit of it, its a good way to start - VBA IDE is built in, so no need to install anything else. IDE is very simplified version of Visual Studio, so its much easier to transfer to .NET languages later (C# for example). Excel VBA has got a lot of online support, examples, tutorials. You can learn basics of programming (scripting if you like in this case) with easy debugging. My path was VBA - VB.NET - C# and im really happy i picked it.
