What is the most relevant coding to learn for today's use?
I have been learning html, css, and java script. am I learning old school stuff that isn't what I need to learn, or continue with what I am doing?

Web development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is actually still very popular nowadays! If you're considering becoming a web developer, I would also recommend learning PHP and JQuery as they are very useful when creating websites.
