MYSQL is not a language. It's a relational database management system.

The thing with SQL here in SL is, that there's no direct way to practice with the language, and being without SQL Playground it's hard for students to really absorb the course materials, and the course materials (at the moment) is only the basics (not that it's worthless though).
And it's difficult to set how far should a quiz question be considered valid, because people here have different levels of understanding regarding the SQL language, it would be unfair to have a quiz question that asks for something that's not covered in the course.
One more thing, though there are common syntaxes amongst DBMS developers, each and every DBMS product also have their proprietary syntax, which makes it even more difficult to decide, which of these are we supposed to be using in challenges.
And we still haven't discussed about differences of syntax between a certain DBMS having different versions, there are occasions where you can run a query on a DBMS version X, yet the query fails on version Y.
I'm open for more insights on this ...

The word "easy" is contextual, for a MySQL user, MySQL is easy, but Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, IBM Db2, SQLite developer can pretty much claim the word on behalf of their choice of DBMS as well.
Besides, if SQL is really easy, I don't think we would have any questions related to it, be it here, or on other programming related communities : )
