I hate it when: • People upvote their own posts • People post junk • People copy other people's codes without permission • People downvote other people's posts so that they can get more votes and be at the top What do you hate? Stop this nonsense now! ❌

I agree with the poster.
Curiosity and questioning is part of learning curve. Only a few people are here to learn, are learners rest are followers of dictation/trends.
Anything with a 100 upvotes is 100% right, anything different, curious, genuine gets a 👎

@Charan I am inclined towards your opinion about supporting the community though recently it has become more about 'climbing the ladder'.

i hate when people downvote other people's post/code.just post a comment when you don't like other people's post/code so they can understand why you don't like their post/code.

Everyone wants to satisfy himself that's why he/she upvote his/her post. Self motivation is necessary. So they upvote themselves to feel happy.
But downvoting other's post is not a gud habit.

actually I sometimes accidentally downvote mine and others and if I try to remove the down votes I eventually upvote them (for other people yeah I could live with up voting them but mine ...well it bothers me (the result from my mistake :down voted ,then upvoted))complicated..

if rules (not only written ones but also the ethical ones people can come up with) are broken, administrators or people authorized by them (which should be clearly distinguishable in some way) should be able to extend a warning to them. otherwise, peopke shouldn't play police. if this is an open minded community and intends to stay so, each opinion should be respected.
and what's this about uo-down voting? why do people find it such important to climb up a ladder (earning xp points) which keads to nowhere??
the "community" and "learning from each other" parts should stand out and be valued. i would strongly advise the administrators to add direct ways of communication (messaging) between users but i do understand them not doing it because it woukd be very open to abuse it, turning this place to another faceboom like site.

I feel in the same way as you do.. There are such people that just wanted to dislike/downvote others post/code because they feel like it's some kind of competition of getting more votes and likes.. Human nature..

Cyber Joy, if you accidentally upvote your own you can click again and it'll remove the upvote. So if you do it accidentally you can correct it.

i know what you mean and i feel rhe same, for "normal" posts of course. but sometimes it becomes necessary, especially for posts without a question or a statement.
not to mention those which show no sign of intelligent life whatsoever.
