Challenge losses!

Question

Why is it that when I win I get between 1 and 10 xp and when I lose against the same oponent I lose between 20 and 40 xp???!!!

What @Jamie said -- whenever you pick someone with higher xp than yours, you risk little and can gain a lot. And in reverse.

Just missed one question and lost 29 xp. i am 10 the opponent 12... risk little?

Just finished another one. I lost 31 xp. I am 10. the opponent 7. I really don t understand. Doesn t matter the opponent s level. if i win i win a little. if i lose i lose BIG.

Sorry to disagree, but it says right below LEVEL 7.

Just browsed my battles and found this:
against the same opponent (i level 10 he level 15) won two battles and gain 7 and 9 xp respectively and lost two battles and lost in each one 25 xp. So against the same opponent i win a total of 16 xp and lose a total of 50 xp. And it has a greater LEVEL than I. I rest my case. :)

For the sake of argument lets say that Level is irrelevant. Then how come that against the same opponent i lose 5 times more than i win althought the record against him (at that point) was 2 wins 2 loses?

Because at this rate I have to win 5 times more challenges just to keep my xp constant, nevermind progressing with battles....
