Use MVC in medium size and large projects. Use plain PHP only in small projects, that you know that no upgrades will be allowed, and the team of programmers have no experience in MVC design pattern

Hi! PHP: + a lot of relatively inexpensive job seekers for the vacancy of the developer, if such are needed. + not expensive licensing (whether it's hosting or just a license for the database) + A lot of any manulov, advice, help and ready-made solutions on the Internet. + Excellent performance, if you limit yourself in hanging a whistle and something else. + traffic and weight. MVC: + simple development of various cool pieces (LinQ same!) + compiled, it will be faster if there is a lot of logic outside the database. + OOPEShnost, for it is convenient and reuz. + native support for AJAX and everyones javascript. Honestly, with that, and with this I came across in passing. But I saw some pluses in each of them. I hope this helps!
