What was your fist language?

What was your first language and how did you got into programming? I'm just curious to now :D
One day, I just thought of making games by yourself. At programming school we started from Scratch. Then we moved to Pascal and now we are suding C++. I also study PHP now

Very first programming language for me would be VBA and Visual Basic 6, back in 1996. I got started helping a guy out with a new company he was starting and he needed something to manage his inventory and customer history. I was a junior in college at the time and had no idea I had an interest in programming until I started helping this guy out and exploring options starting with VBA and Excel and eventually moving over to VB6 application with a full SQL database.

@Jamie... How long have you been programming. I think QBASIC was something I had exposure to as a kid. But I never worked with it directly.

back in 2001, i typed my first command line in turbo-c. A year later i had to learn assembly just to turn some leds on and off on a 8051 board... Happy days 😃
