I learn multiple things "at the same time." Technically, it's not at the same time, but I'm in the process of learning multiple things at the same time rather than one before the other. As Jamie said, it's relative to how you learn best and what your situation is at the moment. By now you should know how you learn, so it's best to take advantage of what works best for you. Are you better at focusing on one thing or a bunch of things?
For myself, I just work on something until I start getting frustrated or burnt out, and then I switch up to work on something else. Keeps me from getting burnt out on anything, and is a load of fun to me. As well, everything seems to compliment one another in some fashion, even if it's simply understanding certain concepts better than you did previously. However, when I say I switch up, I'm talking about within the day. I don't put something on hold and never come back to it or put it off for weeks/months/etc... Maybe I'll read a few chapters in one thing, practice on something else, read about something else, etc..
I treat it like I do traditional schooling. You don't just learn one subject before moving on. You learn multiple subjects throughout the day, every day. This allows you to progress in many areas quickly, and as mentioned above, you don't get burnt out by doing one subject for 8+ hours a day.
With all that being said though, some people prefer to focus and specialize in one area, which is fine too. Consider what your long/short term goals are, and base your decisions on what will best compliment those goals. Remember that change is always on the horizon, so be flexible enough that you can shift with changes that may conflict with your "plan." Learn whatever you need to learn, whenever you need to learn it.
Best of luck to ya!
