Which programming language is the hardest to learn?

(This is from a beginner's perspective) Take syntax into account

This question has no answer, each and every language was developed with a purpose/goal. It all depends on your needs, if you want to develop an android app and try to use Swift, you'd be hard pressed to find a harder way to do it. Also languages usually try to find a balance between performance, readability and maintainability (among other characteristics). Again it all comes down to the requirements of your project.

agree with the assembler reference. it is highly attune to how you think. I've always liked it, but I also like procedural flow of programs... oop programmers seem to struggle with it more....
