Why should a AI not consider mankind unworthy and destroy it?

do you mean AI? Because we are mostly good. Anyway we will probably destroy ourselves before AI gets to the point where it poses any serious threat to us. Climate change will probably get us first

Because mankind is a resource it can use. There is nothing to win for AI in destroying things. It's not like humans go around destroying cows because they're unworthy.
