https://spring.io/docs I've never used Spring, or even heard of it until now, but above is the documentation for it. From my understanding, it's a Java framework, so I imagine learning Java is the main thing you would need in order to understand/utilize the Spring framework. I would take some time and read through all of the documentation; that'll let you know exactly what you're needing. Also, if this is projects at your office, then gather more intel from those you work with so that you know exactly what you need to focus on for your job. Teamwork makes the dream work. ;) As for how long it takes, 5 weeks is a LOT of time; personally, I could learn most things if given that amount of time. However, time is only as good as your ability to utilize time for your benefit. If I spend my time doing things that are outside of my goals/education, then it's that much longer for me to learn/do it. If you focus and concentrate, you can easily learn what you need to, but don't waste your days messing around on things that don't matter. Trust me, dedicating 5 weeks to intensive study/practice will only make you a better person and help you accomplish your goal. You'll decide how much time you'll put toward it though, so if you don't utilize that time, you'll be less than you would be otherwise and potentially not have finished it. It's better to be done early than to be late or not at all.
