That has nothing to do with being a programmer, but is simply relative to yourself. My guess, you probably lack confidence and that affects your ability to properly communicate/engage/pursue a woman. Why? You're probably afraid she'll say no or reject you, so that voice in your head kills the idea of taking action.
Doesn't matter what you look like. You can pull a woman easily if you know how to represent yourself and if you have confidence in yourself, even if you're the good/nice guy, so don't buy into the idea that nice guys can't have what they want either. Has more to do with your confidence and willingness to act, as well as your psychology and ability to understand the psychology of those around you.
Anyways, good luck on finding a woman bro. I've been married the past 11 years to someone "out of my league."

let me rephrase this question "Generally why does GOOD PROGRAMMERS don't have girlfriend/boyfriend?"
well it's because when you were so dedicated to learning then it's tough to make time for romantic nonsense.
but next generation of PROGRAMMERs like jack/jill are way ahead, they have learned to validate people quickly and analyze all their mutual interests in social media, they are quick , fit and create time windows for a date without compromising schedule.
so be like jack/Jill , don't have old geezer PROGRAMMERS attitude , be agile and extreme , and don't flow in the waterfall or spiral😋(if u know what I mean)
Morpheus out!

Having a sex partner was a common activity in ancient times, previous civilusations. The aim of it was to practice biological reproduction. It was dirty, dangerous, time and energy-consuming, sometimes shouting and biting. Who would still do something like that today while we have keyboards and screens ?

Sorry to interact with your passion. I just noticed that "Russia Putin victory"

"Victuar in Pussy Riot"

You might be looking at it from the wrong angle. Maybe guys who don't do well with girls become programmers. Reclusive, embittered weird creeps who live in their basements and live off pizza delivered through the window while they hack away nude picks of transgender celebrities ... and put ice cream on their pizza. Know'm say'n ? 👾

This seems like the cliché of "Why don't good guys get girlfriends". Most people who program for a living have worked hard to get there. If you want a girlfriend then you need to work hard to get one. Most women want a man to provide for them, also if you are confident it can help a lot and tbh I think most programmers that work are in long term relationships.

Thats a huge lie, I have a girlfriend and she knows my obsession with computers, instead of criticizing my interests, she supports me...

A girlfriend can help or can deconstruct your soul/mind (like as a boyfriend can deconstruct his gf too) :)
Then his/her program will hack by a hackers😂
