Computer assist like IntelliSense? In other words, auto completion, auto error checking, auto formatting? Coding by yourself (without assistance) is better for beginners. You could learn faster since you will have to input everything. As a result, you will have to pay close attention to your inputs eventually leading to less errors. The repetition will also help improve remembering. Similar to how you learn to read and write. Using Assist isn't bad. However, there are many philosophies behind its use. It gives me a quick overview of the commands available. In my opinion, it is a great way to get things done. You will be able to code faster and structure code better with the help of computer assistance, but you will not be able to learn faster. Learning can be slowed down by the lack of hands-on experience. Due to the fact that you will rely on autocomplete. You will miss out on the opportunity to practice. It's like rushing through a course and then realizing that you have forgotten everything.

Maybe not something for here and better suited for an internet search. If you think here is fine, what do you mean by computer assisted coding?
