How do I connect flask sqlalchemy to heroku postgres

Question

I uploaded my flask app with database to heroku but the data added fluctuates and stayed for a little while. So I found out I was to connect it to heroku postgres... I've searched on google and none of the solutions given worked so I wanna ask if anyone know how to do that
