Check out if your school or local community offers career counseling. You could ask your teachers for advice, too. Research what the requirements are and which studies you would need to tak for software engineering.

However, own experience would be best to find out what suits you: Have a look into programming, try to do an internship in an area that is related to software engineering. And stay open for other jobs and fields, too! :)
