How to get basic knowledge !

i am a starter in Programming and wish to apply for Software Engineering but the requierments are that i need to get basic knowlegde in programming and an idea overall how am i reach that ?

How about online courses? There are many tutorials and videos for free on youtube, or you can also pay not so big money to get a course with more guidance. Choose what language you wanna learn and do research. Everything is on google. From my experience, I am happy with courses on Udemy, which are not pricey and there is a wide range to choose from.

And then a lot of practise! And games/apps like Sololearn helps too 😊

Thank you a lot for your answer i have already started with python and am learning from an online tutorial on youtube is good enough . but i wanna try the fastest ways to learn cuz before i apply for my studies i need to have basic knowledge in almost everything so i wanna do something like taking a small bite from every plate in order to knw whats going on in almost everything and i knw thats not that easy so am trying to find the easiest and fastest ways
