Why some devs are still supporting internet explorer (IE)

Most of the community people want to kill ie .
But Microsoft is not doing anything about it
Why don't they auto update with lite version of IE
Other kind of browser
Is IE browser really that much secure and powerful?
Do you use IE?
What's your opinion on banning IE?

:/ it's has been the default browser on Windows for ages and a large section of the human population doesn't know about other browsers. It would be detrimental to one's business to ignore support for this browser.

As of April 2019, according to StatCounter, Edge still has lower market share than Internet Explorer and even with the market share of the both combined would only manage 3rd place after Firefox.

Windows comes with IE. They (some devs) are not even aware of other browsers exist.

IE was really the only browser for a number of years and so Enterprise solutions were built specifically for it. And they haven't updated. Why fix it if it isn't broken? That's why you see a lot of banks and businesses still rocking windows 98 and IE 5. However IE is about to undergo a significant change as Microsoft are building the next version on Chrome.

Windows is a widely used operating system and so IE become the first choice for many people. Most of the users other than developers doesn't even know other browsers exists. That's the reason many popular wesites still support IE even though Microsoft makes it worst on every updates.
