[OFF-TOPIC] What is the point of placing all of the tags, do you need them or is it just so it is organised?

Purposely including random & unrelated tags in the questions is a form of spam, and has been viewed as such for over a year now. https://www.sololearn.com/Discuss/465048/?ref=app

Good question, most of us must have seen questions posted with all the languages included, or mixed of totally irrelevant words, what's the point of tagging all the languages? short answer, none. Imo those who posted with irrelevant tags are either don't understand what tags are meant for, just randomly type what came across their mind, or, those who knows what tags are for, but deliberately abuse it, in a thought that they will get more views, but they were wrong to think that way, instead of getting more attention they successfully infuriated those who came to the thread with help intention. People use tags to filter things up, and when they visit a thread looking related with their interest or skills, only to find the question was irrelevant, guess how they feel, I'm sure they feel cheated, fooled or even angry, quite understandable though. However, there's probably an exception for challenge threads, if the challenge host welcomes all languages then the thread can be tagged as such, note that this is a personal opinion, there may be a different PoV from others.

Tags are important because sometimes you have to search something which relates to particular programming language/es. So, in order to search that, type that tag in the search bar which can be found in community section top left corner and you may see only that questions which relates to that particular tag. Otherwise, you see random questions followed by other questions.
