App or PC application in three month?

What's the better way to do for a project limited to three month: Creating an android app or a computer application. My group has good experience in computer applications, but very little in android development. Is it advisable to start already with the unknown but more up-to-date? Or is it better to stay with the known and maybe create an app in a second project phase?

I'd say it depends if an app or an desktop application is more useful for your project. For example a messenger would be better for an app first because people mostly chat on their phones. (Btw. your gui framework may even work on Android, too so you don't need to learn a lot new stuff)
