[OFF-TOPIC] My Alternative Ways to Unlock Epic
Last week, I unlocked Epic badge using this way. It needs a lot of perseverence. My secret to unlock Epic *challenge level 6 and level 5 players *if that opponent has more victories than loses, do not challenge him *use another weapon instead of using your main weapon. Example: I used Java. My main weapon is HTML. *play challenges as a maximum of 5 challenges daily. I took a MONTH to win this badge๐๐ Do not ever cheat in challenges ๐ฅ

Oh wow! A month. I thought I was taking my time when it took me between 12 and 18 hours to unlock the epic badge.
The key for me was to avoid challenging people in the challenge list after the first 10 challenges. I would only target level 2 through 4 with low XP in my weapon of choice, which was C# - I think. Might have been Javascript. I can't remember. LOL
After my first 10 challenges, I would only challenge people from the recent activity list of those first 10 people. This allowed me to target specific people who rarely get higher than scoring 2 or 3 in the challenge weapon. I avoided anyone who scored a 5 or was trending toward a 5 with several 4s in their history. I would also review how many wins / loses / draws they had for the challenge weapon.
Crazy thing is, after I won my 50th challenge, one of the people who scored only 2 or 3 finally completed a challenge I posted earlier that morning and tied with me. I think that draw came in within 5 minutes of unlocking the epic badge. That would have sucked to be reset back to 0.

@Jay... Excellent point. I avoided HTML challenges because the draw ratio was pretty high. Also, there was no challenge in the HTML questions. I was doing mostly C#, Javascript, and PHP before I decided to stop altogether due to lack of time and interest.

@Farshaad: I went after it because I was curious about the effort I had heard many talking about. I actually care little for XP or badges. But for many, it is a part of the gamification experienced in this app. Like anything, balance is important.

@All... For anyone unaware, intentional losses are considered cheating and nothing good happens for any account involved. I would just focus on unlocking the badge the legit way. ๐

I unlocked Epic badge a week ago and didn't yet realised untill I saw my profile, In php there are very few people with higher level who play challenges regularly, most of the time I play below 10 in php.

Tried unlocking the badge the illegal way once, didnt go down too well for me,but when I actually got the epic badge in a legit way the funniest part was that I had no idea I was on a winning streak.I was hitting 5-4's in JavaScript for like two days straight but I was having many draws in other languages so I wasn't sure then whether I had a draw in js or not. Then I saw the notification I'd unlocked the badge, for the next two hours I was happy then suddenly I saw how pointless the badge was and realised I'd gone through two much trouble to get a badge that wasn't worth it.Its luck,it ain't special
