Everybody starts off as a bad programmer. It doesn't mean that you should stop. It means that you should get better through more practice.

when to stop is when you can't acomplish the most basic tasks despite lots of effort. aka disabled. otherwise keep coding! even if you're bad you can always improve

Except maybe if your code gets you a legal order to stop, perhaps the thing that should have more say in whether you go or stop is whether you like what you're doing or not.

Inability to read code you've written
Inability to extend/improve code you've written
For solution, I think Practice makes a man Perfect.

There's never a point to stop...
Share your code, ask for advice, listen to suggestions.
Code Every Day!
You get better with every program and soon it will all be second nature.

Thank y'all for your answers, I like coding but often times I feel like I'm stuck, I want to understand how the computer works on a more fundamental level.
