It doesn't matter, really. I started with Python, personally. People tend to take issue to that and insist you learn a more difficult language first (and I understand why they say that; Python spoils you!), but I've been okay. I'm now learning C# (which is almost Java from what I've heard) and have had a fairly easy time with it. Objects/classes took a bit to understand, since Python isn't really an OOP language, but since I understood most of the other concepts already (loops, decision structures, etc.) and only really had to adjust for syntax, it was easy to learn new concepts and spend time understanding the language more deeply than if I were still focusing on the basics.

I know how it sounds. LOL. My friend told me that. But that language has been removed from our School's syllabus. My friend told me that "It has been removed due to its Unpopularity".

I'd hardly say Python is worthless; it's very versatile in fact! Besides, all this debate about languages being good or bad or whatever is really ridiculous, because different languages work better for different things. It's like insisting that a screwdriver is worthless because you can't use it as a hammer.

Thanks for suggestions. BTW, I am thinking about Android Software Development and Web Designing. So I think I should progress in this way - Python -> Java -> C++

It all depends on you and what you are going to do with those languages. If you are coming in field of android so you should learn java. If another field I prefer learning python because it is very popular and very easy to understand and it can be used in about almost all computer fields e.g. Robotics, Web, AI, Software development, etc. About c++ it is really difficult to learn and it took much time to learn and you can't get much out of this language compared to python.
