[OFF-TOPIC] Is this how I invite my students to follow me?

I want my classes to follow me but I can't see the option - so I am starting this discussion in the hope that they will be able to click on my name and choose follow.

Anyone can add new followees by entering his own profile and clicking the Discover Peers button. There is a search field there which allows to look for new profiles.

I'm afraid follow options are available in-app, exclusively. When you follow someone, you get notifications from the app on their doings.

If they can find you they can follow you. Like you do it now can work. And you don't have to share your contacts.

I am working in Chrome on a Windows 10 device - and I cannot see a "Discover Peers" button. I thought perhaps when I clicked on a respondent's name in this discussion I would be given an option to follow them - but none are obvious (other than Facebook, G+ and twitter) which are no use to my target audience (my High School classes). I'm going to try in MS Edge and Explorer - but I don't hold out much hope.

So it seems. I have installed the iOS app myself and can see the functionality. It is a shame that many of my students won't.
