How to make an Android app

i have basic understanding of coding..have worked as java developer however now i want to learn codimg an android app.
kindly guide for the same.

It may be a little hard to create a guide on that in just one comment, but Android development can be done by using Android Studio. It's basically an IDE (similar to XCode) that allows you to create apps nearly any Android device using Java and/or Kotlin (Kotlin seems to be the better option nowadays though).

good news is that for Android u need Java.
as mentioned by @faisal. u need Android studio. (witch makes your life easier and it's free!!)
as for kotlin .... I might be out of date on this , but last time I checked, it was New and has a long way to be like Java (again it might have changed by now)

I once made a basic app in android studio..with help of coursera only..
however now i have an idea and want to implant it..
I hence have no clear pathway how to go about it.

what is more preferable to hire a developer or to self learn the needed skills and make it.
