Not satisfied with php tutorial on sololearn
having gone through and completed php tutorial and now certified, on my opinion the lessons arent sufficient enough to make one go really practical as a back end developer in real life in php. as opposed to html lessons one can go through it and create a real web site with just front end. xammp wasn't even mentioned at all. perhaps they did there best as it is not easy to Learn practical php here , it's best you go to a real IT center and get taught. #my_opinion though.

The intention of the courses is to offer basic material of a language, so that later you can continue your learning in the way you want. Many people may complain that database operations are missing, but that is an easy topic to learn (both with msqli and with PDO).
The fact that they have not mentioned a server for me is not a negative thing either, after all not everyone works with it. There is an infinite variety of servers that depending on the environment and the characteristics of your application can be installed, and the installation process changes drastically between platforms (and in some cases it is not easy to explain to someone who is just beginning to have a base in the world of programming).

Well... I guess the intention was to teach basic knowledge and not to produce professionals.
Whoever thinks doing some lessons on an app is sufficient to master anything has a strange view of reality imo
