Django or Ruby on rails for backend?

I'm planning to switch from PHP to a new technology in backend. Django and Ruby on rails seems my likely destination. Any advice on which to shift to?

thanks for the answer. I've just gone through the links and looks like I'mma start with Django. I'll check out Ruby later.
