C++ is used quite a bit at the moment. C++ is mainly used for tasks that are resource intensive or need to be fast. A lot of games now use C++ because it’s stunningly quick. C++ is also used in internet browsers, photoshop, older MS office applications (I think modern MS office apps mainly use C#) and much more.
