[DUPLICATE] Challenge

Question

Suppose there are 100 people standing in a circle. The first person is given a sword and he kills the person next to him (i .e 2nd person) and gives the sword to the next alive person(3rd). The same goes on with 3rd person. This goes on until one last person remains alive. Determine the rank of the person who remains alive. Also, determine the rank of the last alive person in a circle of 'n' people.
