What is C# ;)

C# (c sharp) is a programming language that is mostly know for the use in Unity. If you want to write a script in unity you can select from javascript and c#. C# is the most popular one. So basicly, it’s a programming language that is used for game development.

C++ is used for game development too (Unreal Engine), Minecraft was coded in Java and Python has a pygame module, so I don't see how that game development argument is relevant. C# wasn't even developed specifically for it.

C# is a relatively new language developed my Microsoft. It basically looks like a mixture of C++ and Java (rather like Java, despite its name), it's very powerful and widely used for windows applications in general.

"Combination of C and C++"? C++ is an extended version of C, so combining them doesn't even make sense. Despite its name, C# is actually a lot more related to Java, at least the syntax is.
