@... everyone who says Java is good for games

Almost all AAA games are made in languages like C++ and C, why? Because they require a lot of processing power and you would have to find an amazing engine and be a great programmer to get that kind of speed out of Java. C++, on the other hand, is constantly used in games because you can just get a good engine and be a good programmer to see the results that are so hard to find in Java.

I'd say Java, but just slightly. C++ should have better performance, but most of performance issues often lie in the programmer instead of the language, but a language that's designed to run on basically everything has it's perks.
But if you are serious about gamedev, just use an engine.
