creating games takes time, and not just time reading lessons.
I would recommend getting yourself familiar with the basics of JavaScript, (understanding scopes, functions (return values and parameters), arrays and how to work with them, properties and methods and more)
but by reading you don't learn enough, you have to code and put your mind through the process which is a must to become a true programmer.
once you start programming eventually you will ask yourself things like: "oh, so if I do this then that happens, what if I were to try this?" then your curiousity gets sparked, and programming will become more and more fun
once you have the basics I would thoroughly recommend you to try and work with canvas, as it's a powerful tool that gets great results easily. and playing with canvas has taught me so much, and it kept myself motivated to continue learning
EDIT: advertisement alert
I'm trying to release a couple of lessons about creating games using canvas, they might just be worth checking out once they have passed the validation
