Hi world? Are you calling me fat? :( What is your long/short term goals? I'd pick a language that's going to compliment what you're wanting to do. Read through the language even if you don't understand it fully. Afterward, practice what you remember and learned. When you're done, read through the language again. This time write down anything you still don't understand fully. Then go and research everything that you wrote down extensively; learn everything you can on it. Practice it again and put the stuff you just learned to use. Continue to repeat this process until you have a good understand of the language. Keep finding more and more resources, and learn from everything that you can.

If you have the basics then write something. Use the basic knowledge. Just because you 'read' something doesn't mean you know it. If you read a cookbook does that mean you ate? You have to make the food and eat it before you can say that you ate from the cookbook.
