i always wanted to be a game developer but I only know how to use pascal (old language ) and I am a beginner when it comes to python but I want so badly to make a game so it's gonna be hard for me to start right away using unreal or unity so that's leave with scratch a lot of my friends recommended for me but I am still confuse ...my question is : if I want to make a simple 2D game with no experience should I use scratch !!?

scratch is a 2d games engine aimed at children that was developed by MIT to teach the young generation how to script. however, many older people have been using it as a starting point for both coding and games development due to its easy controls and simplicity

Hey, as i.e. Java is an implementation of C++, then what is behind the Scratch?

scratch is a brilliant way to learn code, its how I started out. Also if you have an Xbox, I reccommend you look for Spark on the store. It's completely free and helps you design 3D games :)

You can get the basic concepts of programming from scratch but you won't know any syntaxes through it. As a hobbyist, you can use Scratch but it won't give you a job, plus it lacks flexibility. If I were you, I'd learn newer languages and use the relevant engine for making games. You can try Kodu by Microsoft if you just want a game but Don't want lines of code...

Yes. I still use scratch to check the logic of my code if its not working.

Hell no. Scratch is not good for a programmer, even if your a beginner. it makes you have incorrect ideas about code structure and make up, don't use it, please
