New AnswerI am very interested in the reasons people choose a language or stack over another. If you have some valid reasons (or not) for you choice, please share.

New AnswerWell, I was working as a Civil Engineer and decided to change the industry. I got wife and a kid, so I couldn't afford to have a no-work job. Firstly, I tought about frontend, but there was a massive concurrency on juniors. I found out, that Ruby on Rails technology, is not so popular, but it is easier to get first job. This is how I choose my language, and it was good decision. :) So, in assuming I choose my language, because it was easier to find a job in that technology.
I took c Sharp cause it can plug into diversity of platforms and technologies , office , web , asp , Android ,Windows, Linux , linq, and u can program high level or u can switch low level with pointers , sockets, I don't know if it's the best but it works in all situations
well then, Python in my case was the most advantageous since it gave me a chance to get some problems solved on my PC, it totally stopped functioning until I installed Python..
