Nothing in Square Brackets in Arrays?

What would happen if you put nothing in the square brackets?

declaring an array ypu can write empty square brackets and define the array (automatic size calculation)
I'm not sure but probably if ypu write empty square brackets for accesing an array will throw compilstion error, memory access violation or show the first elemnt of the array
