My question resides in the niche of graphical game design so therefore my question is how do you gain client side capabilities within the apparent boundaries of c++ for graphics production? An example of respective question relevance may be javascript and actionscript to describe possible client side desires.

Usually games know hardware-dependent presets for graphics quality. These presets are applied as a default after obtaining what graphics hardware is in the computer.
