Go has some features that C doesn't, such a garbage collection and memory safety, so it is better in those respects. That said, those same things take away from what C is, which is extremely low level and allows freeform memory management (more efficient memory handling as opposed to garbage collection). So in the long term, yeah Go could replace it, but I doubt it will fully replace it.

Big Chungus But C is much more efficient than Go in terms of speed and memory management. It'd still be used to make OS and all.
