New AnswerVectors offers a nice adventage over their resolutions. You see, if you have a picture of a line and try to zoom in, it will eventually get blurry. A vector line does not work with pixels but with points. So you would be able to zoom in as much as you want and never lose any details on it. Vectors are best for simple images/icons. And pixels are best for detailed pictures.
The Answer The advantage of creating line drawings in vector format is that you can increase the dimensions of the image.
