Well... the API language is C#, but if you want to use C++ i think you should wrap the DLL and it would be hard, there's no documentations and i can't find a lot of tutorials for that. So i suggest to use the original API ...

C# is better becase is complately oop and 80% of unity game developer use c# and have more docs and resource for development

I've been learning on Unity well also learning C#. Unity seems to run off C# for as much as I've seen so id say C# is your best bet.
