The list of types mentioned between opening '(' and closing ')' in the function declaration/definition is called a parameter list. when you call a function the same thing is called argument list, not parameter list. in the above the first argument is a pointer to a file, 2nd argument is the format specifier and the third argument is pointer to a string (represented/stored in an array of chars)
