Am I too old for computer science and information technology.

I am going to be 31 years old. Mechanical engineering is my education. I started learning computer programming and some web technologies few months earlier. So my question is am I too old?

There's no too old or too young to make anythings. You could liked to code in 97 years old and you can also liked to code in 3 years too. Then everythings depend on you . And even your brain doesn't allow much things to memorize you can still learn by hard learning.πŸ˜‡ Goodluck!

What make you think such a young age is too late to learn IT? What you think, you become.

Realistically speaking it depends. If you learned to code 10 years ago. You'll need the ability to adapt and change. If you are just starting off you don't need to worry. πŸ˜‰

Ofc not. A lot of successful men needed to be 40+ to reach their Place of their career. Just use your time wisely now and be effective

Many baby-boomers are retraining themselves to meet the Future of Technology. We have our Masters and P.h.D. on the wall but with the Serge in Technology requirements in the work place many of us have to become certified in basic computer language's.

You are never too old. And programming can be a chance for you, because if your ability to remember lots of details decreases, special software like a knowledge management system can support you to hold things together. I am 49 years old and I have no formal education in the field of computer science. These days I am learning Python with the focus on SQLite database and Tkinter as a GUI to help the grey cells in my brain remember things or recognizing contexts.

It's never too late to learn something new. It's also not too late if you want to change your profession. However, be prepared for certain difficulties. Employers prefer younger junior developers.

You are not too old, and it is not too late start from basics and be determined
