Since you just started the C++ course, I would push through it completely first; understanding of programming takes time if you're new to it.
This is what I recommend: Read through the course completely, even if you don't understand it yet. Then practice what you could understand from it. Read through the course completely AGAIN, but this time write down any concept you still don't fully understand. When you're done, use your notes to extensively research the concepts you wrote down, then practice them to solidify your learning. Repeat this process until you no longer have to write anything down on your notes. When you're done, move on to another resource that goes over more advanced concepts and repeat the process there. Do this with each resource and you'll both understand and master it before you realize it.
