The head tag

I’m new At the coding process I just started learning html I wanna understand the purpose of the head tag if i wanna make a website what do I have to put inside what’s the need of it? Can someone please explain

The body and head tags are used for the structure of your document. You put things like the title and meta tags into the head. Only the elements that should be shown on the website are placed inside the body.
