Python: Why do string to int conversion throws error in some compliers. How can i overcome?

Do you have an example where the conversion throws an exception? All I can think of is that you can't use int() on a string that doesn't represent a number, like int('hello') # error Other than that, python works the same in every interpreter/IDE, so I don't think that's the problem
