How many more users has Sololearn gained since the introduction of gamification?

Not quite so. But I do believe it has retained more users rather than users completing a course and just abandoning the app.

They just need to do a count of the average number of active users per month say 3 months before introducing quiz challenges vs after.

I would imagine they track the numbers closely, but we're not privy to them. You can probably use the WayBack machine to see if total users was a statistic SL published on their website (like they do now) and active users (which is a statistic that floats around the Internet I think).
