How do I learn Java for robotics

Question

Hey, I'm pretty new to programming, but I have to learn Java because I will be programming for robotics this year. I have started the Java course, but I can tell its more of a long term course that will take a lot of time. Because we are starting to code soon, I want to know what I am doing. So my question is how do learn how do code in Java as fast as possible?
