Why app.Config doesn't find Boolean settings?

So you created a setting via
Project -> <application name> Properties
Name = Theme
Type = bool
Scope = user
Then tried to acces this setting via
if (Properties.Settings.Default.Theme == true)
{
}
If I test this in my visual studio express, I do not get a squilly line.
I seems like the setting has not been made ?
