What is the best software/platform/Framework to create a cross-platform mobile apps other than Android Studio?

This year, I'm going to make a final year project, my group wants to build a mobile application -based system that the system, always used in universities, I've used Android Studio before but I've found it hard to use because it uses java language, and I'm just a students with basic knowledge in HTML, CSS, PHP, MYSQL, JavaScript and Java, what is the best free platform / Framework / Software to build a good and best mobile app? Please help me..

There is a framework called PlayN which allows you to make a game (you can do other stuff besides games) in java and automatically use it for cross platform. It supports Android, html and Java. I️ think Flash is depreciated in the newer versions and iOS doesn’t work anymore due to the end of RoboVM.
