Similar syntax to a wide range of most used programming languages... The two exceptions (in most used) are Ruby and Python, which have turn to a real another kind of syntax (but still sharing some code structures ^^).

Javascript is not easy, but this doesn't mean it's hard ;P

As any language, you can easily write 'heĺlo world' code... but difficulties outcomes with deep learning ;)

The real (and maybe quite only) advantage of JS for a beginer is to easier handle GUI (Graphical User Interface) than others languages, even if that mean learning Html and Css too... from my point of view.
