It is basic syntax for html tag. <> tells the browser what to display. If you don't write <> and </> then it will not consider that it's tag. And without <> it'll be only simple text which is similar to notepad text. So it's necessary to write <> for web development. Hope you get it. If you've any doubts then feel free to ask. Thanks!

it like you have to cook and you don't have gas <> it's opening tag </> it's closing tag they defined what tag they are what have to do with between these stuffs
